I really ran the gamut with my choices this past month. LOL

TV

Hawaii Five-0 Season 9 and part of 10. I wish someone would have warned me about what happened early on in season 10 because with what Steve’s going through? SOB CITY. But yes, I know, that’s probably just me.

Star Trek Discovery Season 2. Still really enjoying this.

Chicago Fire Season 3. Only a few episodes so far, but again, why did I choose to watch this in December? I knew what Kelly was going through and yet… here I am.

Bridgerton. This was super cute and extra steamy at times. The costumes and the scenery and the dancing… it was all fabulous.

Lucifer. I think we’re on season 3 or 4 now. Still digging it.

Movies

Spotlight. Taylor randomly found this on Netflix and it was honestly really good. But with Michael Keaton and Mark Ruffalo, how can you go wrong?

Last Christmas. This started out to be a super cute Christmas movie and then it broke my heart. Still had a happy ending of sorts, but man. Wasn’t expecting that. This is Taylor’s fault.

Blades of Glory. I don’t know WHY this child of mine is obsessed with Will Farrell, but between this, Eurovision, and Elf…

What I’m Watching:

Trying to finish up season 10 of Hawaii Five-0 and season 3 of Chicago Fire. After that, I might watch the last season of Star Trek Discovery. Not sure what I’ll be in the mood for.

I also have a pile of DVDs I should watch, consisting of:

Interview with the Vampire
The Contender
180 Grados
Heat
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
The Man From U.N.C.L.E.
The Magnificent Seven
Batman & Robin

Most of these I’ve seen already, but I’ve been wanting to watch Interview again for some time. I guess we’ll see what shakes out. As always, suggestions welcome.

Have you seen 'Batman and Robin' and if so, why the rewatch? I enjoyed George Clooney as Batman, but I really wanted those 2+ hours of my life back, so I'm interested to know if you saw something that I missed.

Have you seen the new Mulan yet? It is wonderful. I liked it more than the cartoon version (but it's basically an entirely different film). It would be a good one to watch with your girls.

OMG, no! Batman and Robin, The Contender, and 180 Grados are the only ones I haven't watched yet. I grabbed B&R around the middle of last year when I got on a serious Batman kick (watched the Christopher Nolan trilogy as well as Batman Forever). I guess on the upside, all I paid for the movie was a $0.49 swap fee. LOL

No, that I haven't watched yet either. Is it on Disney+? Generally speaking, I'm not a fan of cartoons being made into live action movies, but they did a really good job with Aladdin. Thanks for the suggestion - I'm kind of surprised that Taylor hasn't suggested that one yet.

Also, I was excited for Wonder Woman 1984 but all I keep hearing is how awful it is. *sighs*

Which reminds me... I have Man of Steel around here somewhere... :D

I suppose you could have it on in the background while you do other things.

Mulan is on Disney+ and on Redbox (which is where I saw it). I think Disney+ is done with making folks pay the premium on it, so now may be the best time to watch if you have it.

I'll need to wait for WW1984 to come to cable. One of my friends who loved the first was a little disappointed by it.

I have never seen Man of Steel - I should have since I did watch Batman v Superman and it probably would have made more sense if I saw Man of Steel first. Either that or it still would have been a hot mess just with a little more backstory that I understood.

Hah! I usually watch DVDs while I'm getting ready in the morning or making dinner so that works.

Nice. Yes, Disney+ was one of those we had to get - Troy was a HUGE Star Wars fan and well, you know, kids (even though they're both adults now, they still love their cartoons). Thanks!

When I switched to Cox for my cable last year, I got a deal (free) on the movie channels. So, I can watch it via HBO Max. I hope these people are just being picky because I did love the first.

It probably wasn't the best Superman movie ever, but I did enjoy it (and not just for Henry's massive abs either lol). I haven't seen Batman vs Superman yet though, so maybe that's one I need to add to my list this year. Hahaha - from what I've heard about B v S, the latter is probably the closest.

Ugh I don't remember what happened to Steve, but I can imagine. If you ever want to cry about Kelly, I'm here. I'm about midway through my rewatch (end of season 3, beginning of 4), but I skipped a couple of episodes for that reason.

OMG I just did Bridgerton in two days. LOVED IT!

As for your movies (of the ones I've seen)
Interview with the Vampire--engh
The Man From U.N.C.L.E.--love this... need to find it for myself (since I'm pretty sure I have it)
The Magnificent Seven--really enjoyed this one
Batman & Robin--this will always remind me of freshman year of college... but that's not a bad thing.

I was not impressed with WW84... it definitely viewed like 3 people had written it at different times.

B&R too many attempts to use the ideas from the 60s, but it's amusing.

Mulan was fabulous!

His mom died. Which rather shocked me. There were a few episodes there where it was rough going for me. I only have two left before I'm done. Hahaha - I love Kelly, he's always been my favorite, even if I got really annoyed with him that first season or so. Waiting on the second disc for season 2 to arrive so I can continue.

It was so good!

I'm not sure why, but I had an urge to re-watch this, so I found a used copy of it. I did like it years ago, hoping that it holds up. We won't get into what they did with The Queen of the Damned though.

Hahah - I love UNCLE and Mag 7 so much. UNCLE for Henry, Mag 7 for literally everyone. but mainly for Vasquez. (Speaking of which, if you haven't seen 6 Underground yet - it's an action movie - you should watch it.)

I thought I hadn't seen Batman & Robin, but reading something over the weekend, I realize I have. So hmm... I'm going to rewatch it anyway.

Aw, that makes me sad. The first was so good! I'll likely watch it anyway.

I honestly loved the old Batman series with Adam West and Burt Ward. Brings back memories of my grandmother because I always watched it when I spent the summers with her.

Oh, good to know!

Oh. Yeah. It's been a minute since I've seen that part of the series. I'm sure they were. Yes! I adore Kelly (although if they had to settle him down with someone, why was it Kidd?) But yes, I love him. Did you get more of the series watched?

Hahah I think I own both, but I'll be honest? I have so many discs I don't even remember what I have. Yeah, I think I've watched QotD once. I will probably start to go through my DVDs once I find all the papers--I don't keep them in their boxes.

I enjoyed them both sooo much! But yeah. Now I need to find UNCLE at some point. I don't think I've seen 6 Underground, but yes. I will watch it.

Hahaha yes. Did you enjoy it?

I mean... I watched it, but it's not one I'll rewatch soon. Did you watch?

Yeees... I adore that series.

I think I finished season 3 but haven't gone back to it yet. I need to one of these days.

Slowly, I've been going through all of our DVDs. Troy bought so many movies, most of which I'd never watch. Making a little progress.

The Man from UNCLE was so good. 6 Underground was amazing. Ridiculous, but fun.

Yes, I did watch Batman & Robin and it was as silly and fun as I remembered it being.

That makes sense. You'll get there.

Yeah. I've bought sooo many, but I've watched most of them.

Yeees it was good. I actually had seen 6 Underground and it was good.

LOL I love that movie.

Eventually.

Troy had some odd tastes sometimes.

I need to go back and rewatch 6 Underground. It was a lot of fun.

It really is good.

LOL I have some really weird tastes too.

Yeah, maybe after school gets out (I have 3 weeks where I only teach two nights a week and do school work.)
