This was partly based on a true story — Maddie had thought the butter had fully softened and realized it hadn't when 3/4 of a stick went flying out of the Kitchen Aid mixer. LOL But you know Zayne, he'll never learn.

Very sweet. And yes, I've experienced the not-quite-soft-yet butter in the mixer phenomenon so I know exactly what Andrej sees.

I'm wondering though, with Andrej being a capable cook who knows not to do that, why he's got a can of store-bought icing in his cupboard. This may beg for a sequel.

Thank you! Hahaha... yeah, that damn butter will get you every time. One of the nice things about moving to mostly dairy free in our house is that non-dairy butter softens MUCH faster.

I'd like to say because even accomplished cooks know that things don't always turn out right and it pays to have a backup plan. But in reality, he probably eats it by the spoonful in a closet on the days that Zayne and James are making him craziest.
