April TV/Movie Recap
May. 3rd, 2021 11:15 amI meant to do this over the weekend and got distracted… by a grouchy ass Witcher.
TV:
Killing Eve Season 3. Now, I’m just waiting on season 4, which I think is supposed to be the last.
The Way of the Househusband. Netflix decided to turn a manga I enjoy into an anime. It’s just as silly and ridiculous as the manga, so bonus.
Picard season 1. I cannot wait for season 2, especially now that Q will be in it!
Law and Order Season 1. Only watched 4 episodes as I had a hard time getting into it. Watched a couple more over the weekend and I’m starting to warm up a bit, I think.
The Handmaid’s Tale season 3. Now Taylor’s ticked because they didn’t release the whole fourth season at once. LOL
Movies:
The Wedding Banquet. Really cute movie about a gay Korean guy who can’t come out to his parents, so he stages this big, fake wedding to make them happy.
Star Wars: A New Hope. Finally made it back to the original trilogy. Love these movies.
The Lie. I should have seen the end coming but it was one of those things where it was too obvious to be true, and yet, it was. Still think it was worth the watch.
Immortals. Legit watched for one reason: Henry. Hahaha. But it was a pretty decent movie.
Wonder Woman 1984. Enjoyed this. Loved the unexpected cameo at the end. Made me screech. LOL
God’s Own Country. What a movie. Great story and I found me a new boo. Hahaha.
What’s on deck:
Finishing Law and Order season 1.
Defendor which just arrived from Netflix DVD on Saturday.
Baptiste. I finally broke down and just bought this used off Amazon. It has my new boo in it and has been on my to-watch list for some time now. I can’t even remember now why I put it on my list. Haha!
There’s more – so much more – but this is what I plan on watching soon.

Date: 2021-05-03 08:39 pm (UTC)Yes — it's on my list, but I also have the book on hold to read before I start. LOL Hopefully it was good.

Date: 2021-05-04 04:30 pm (UTC)Hah, am I that obvious? I have a thing for dark-haired, dark-skinned men as it is. Alec Secareanu just happens to (mostly) fit that bill. :D Plus, his accent is to die for. LOL (I know, I know, shut the heck up.)
I wonder if that's where I saw the Brit before then? Taylor's been watching The Crown, so it could be.
You're very welcome! And despite everyone around me saying they had it figured out in the first five minutes, I still enjoyed The Lie a lot. You can never go wrong with Star Wars though. :)
