Update & me being ridiculous

Tay texted me around 9 AM to tell me she was done. She also sent a pic that had all of us here in the office cackling. Kid looks miserable.
On the upside, it doesn't sound like she got sick, however, she did say she couldn't stop crying. Which is exactly how Troy reacted after he had his wisdom teeth out. I remember folding him into my small car (he was a good sized boy) and looking at him, sobbing, and asking what was wrong. He says, "I DON'T KNOW!" and starts to cry harder. I felt awful, but we laughed about it later.
So, I'm relieved.
Part of my fitness *journey* (and I hate that term, but bear with me) has been learning about portion control. Fruits and veg are 1 cup = 1 serving. Protein is 3/4 cup, carbs are 1/2 cup, 'healthy fats' are 1/4 cup, all of which fall in line with what most nutritionists suggest. I even have these nifty little containers I can use to portion things out.
During the winter, I was mostly eating apples and bananas, which don't need to be measured (1 small/med = 1 serving), but now that it's summer, I'm branching out because other things are back in season. So, this morning, I filled one container with grapes, grabbed a couple apricots, and then went to fill my container with blueberries.

I'm sorry, but that's a lot of mother pickin' blueberries, guys. Like I'm half done with the container as we speak and I'm not sure I can eat them all. Technically, this is my veg container, but whatever. The purple fruit one is full of grapes. Guess I won't starve at least, eh?
Anyway... enough out of me. Time to go back to work.

He doesn't whine so much over fruit, but all the veggies I piled onto his noodles earned me a disgusted look.
