I didn’t do much other than read this month, as you can tell.
What I read:
Books:
A Hex For Danger by Esme Addison. Book #2 in the Enchanted Bay Mystery series. Love this series.
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. Both audio and ebook. It was my first Jane Austen book and I enjoyed it. The narration on the audio was fabulous.
The Shunned House by H. P. Lovecraft. Short novella.
The Roll-Away Pumpkin by Junia Wonders. Super cute book about a girl who loses her pumpkin as it rolls through town.
The Witch’s Cat by Sonica Ellis. I mean, you had me at kitty. 😊
The Ex Hex by Erin Sterling. Fun romantic comedy about witches. The cat – Sir Purrceval – was the best part.
Who I Really AM: Diary of a Vampire by Alice Cooper. Audible Original narrated by the author. Lots of fun and funnier than I had expected.
The After Party by A. C. Arthur. A murder mystery centered around three friends.
Pumpkinheads by Rainbow Rowell. Cute graphic novel about Halloween.
We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson. Short novella on audio. I love her stuff.
Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo. Audiobook. While I enjoyed this, it didn’t blow me away like the reviews had me thinking it would.
Devil of Black Creek by Victor Methos. Short audio about a creepy Bigfoot-like creature.
Such a Quiet Place by Megan Miranda. Murder mystery with an interesting twist at the end.
A Kitchen Witch’s Guide to Recipes for Love and Romance by Dawn Aurora Hunt. I know, I know… but I got it from the library so it’s not like I spent money on it, okay?
Pumpkin Everything by Beth Labonte. Super cute story about a girl returning to her hometown to find ‘the one that got away’.
Cookbooks:
The Happy Sandwich: Quick and Easy Gourmet Sandwiches that Satisfy. Made a couple out of this book already, too. LOL
America’s Test Kitchen: Pancakes and Waffles. Found a few recipes I want t try now.
The New Air Fryer Cookbook. Yes, I went on a binge this month. Kept finding interesting ones at the library, what can I say?
What I’m currently reading:
The Heron’s Cry by Ann Cleeves. Book #2 in the Two Rivers series.
The Witching Tree by Alice Blanchard. Book #3 in the Natalie Lockheart series.
Sharpe’s Triumph by Bernard Cornwell. #2 in the Sharpe series. Audiobook.
What’s up next:
Everything you all suggested last time that I never actually managed to read. *sigh* Someone please tell me to stop putting things on hold at the library so I can get through some of the books I actually own.
Anyone reading anything interesting that I don’t need to know about but want to hear about anyway? :D

Date: 2021-11-01 09:15 pm (UTC)I had no idea they'd made it into a movie. The story itself was odd, so I'm not surprised the movie left you wondering what the heck happened. Now I have to watch this. LOL
Thank you! I was in my happy place this past month it seems.
