Blah, Blah, Blah...

What a day today has been... and not in a horrific, OMG kind of way, either. Just as in I've been so busy I think I misplaced my eyebrows sort of way.
Some very good things have happend. I watched last night's episode of Stalker because BUTTERCUP GUISE. And, for the uninitiated, that would mean Warren Kole finally made an appearance on the show. *fist pump* I've really missed seeing him on my television but dear lord, what to they keep doing to his hair? First that disaster he had to wear on White Collar...
...and now this? Eh, but I think I can get used to this quicker than I could that mess.
Now, I love how *flippy* his bangs are in that last one, but they shaved the back of his head? It looks so odd. But I bet... wait. Never mind.
But back to Stalker. I'm really beginning to love this show but... for some reason, my husband has a major hate-on for Dylan McDermott. Despite how much he loves Maggie Q (he was a devotee of Nikita), he's really hesitant to get into this show. That said, because he won't watch it, I've had to resort to desperate measures. CBS' streaming sucks. It's slow, it's glitchy, and there are a million commercials. So, I broke down and bought the current episode from Amazon. Now little Trent Wilkes is mine forever. MWAHAHAHAH- oh, you're still here. Sorry about that.
I managed to get out on my lunch hour to grab bandanas for my older child for spirit day tomorrow with enough time to sneak in a milkshake and still made it back to work without being late. Not that anyone would have cared, but still. I do have principles. Now, all I have to do is find her some sparkly makeup. *insert eye roll here*
I also managed to get all of my monthly invoices take care of. They've been signed and are now waiting to be photocopied, sorted, and stuffed into envelopes. That, however, will have to wait until tomorrow. So, that's a huge load off.
In other news, it seems someone managed to get me sick, and I don't know who it was. All I know is, maybe I should become more particular about who I snog from here on out? No? Okay then... at least tomorrow is Friday and I can do nothing all weekend. As if. But that's okay, because I can deal with the weekend on my own terms.
But oh my god my little buttercup is back on my TV in a recurring role.
Now, let's just pray his role on Stalker doesn't end the same way it did on White Collar and The Following. K?

Date: 2014-10-16 11:15 pm (UTC)He's the stalker, I bet ...? Which, if true, will make me pause just for the irony of it.

Date: 2014-10-17 12:44 am (UTC)I thought we talked about this, but maybe not? So, feed me to the wolves, I'm apparently slacking in my duties! It's only on episode three so far and is creepy as all get out. But intense and I'm really enjoying it.
Thankfully no, he isn't, because that would be a touch too twisted even for me. But - get this - he IS a detective... in the LAPD... robbery/homicide division. *headdesk* I kept waiting for Travis to show up...

Date: 2014-10-17 05:32 pm (UTC)My husband plays tennis on Friday nights, but I never manage to get the TV to myself. My younger child assumes that daddy being gone means she gets control of the Xbox. LOL

Date: 2014-10-18 05:09 am (UTC)Oooh, this Stalker sounds interesting. Maybe we'll get it in a couple of years... or less. You never know - TV here is random.
What is this spirit day that requires sparklies and bandanas? Yay for milkshakes and not being late back to work and getting invoices done!
Sorry to hear you're sick; I had no idea my kisses were that far reaching! ;-P
MINIONS!!!

Date: 2014-10-20 05:06 pm (UTC)Stalker has been very interesting, and intense as well. I make sure we watch it early enough in the evening that I don't go to bed right after. I'm not sure I could go several years and not know when I'd get something the rest of the world has... but then, I used to wait at least 18 months to get shows from the UK here on BBC America. Annoying though, isn't it?
They have a thing here in the US called homecoming, which is when the school's football team returns to the home field. There's a dance and all kinds of stuff. My older girl is in her first year of high school this year, so she's going all out for spirit week in support of the football team.
I know, right? I guess that's the last time we cyber neck, eh?
Yes MINIONS!

Date: 2014-10-26 08:34 am (UTC)Oh God, it's crazy how long some things take to get here (and some never make it or are buried so late at night they never rate and then get pulled), although some, oddly, make it within days (Arrow, The Following, Sleepy Hollow), because the first season rated well or just because somehow we got it early.
I've never been all that fussed about waiting because actually in the 70's when I was a kid we waited at least a year if not more for anything good, or else we just didn't know that we didn't get it! The hardest thing now is seeing what's out there on the internet, and not having the time or data allowance to find it all! HA! Mind you, with the number of things I actually do watch, it's probably just as well we don't get everything quickly!
It's good that your daughter supports something; hope she enjoyed spirit week! (no sports interest over here, in either generation! My idea of sports is watching two guys get it on. ;-P)
NO MORE CYBER-NECKING!!!

Date: 2014-10-27 05:31 pm (UTC)I almost wonder if getting things while they're still hot in other countries helps? But it's so bizarre that it is so random when you get things.
Hahaha - yes, I bet that makes you crazy, doesn't it? I have an internet friend in France and she says the same thing. And I hear you on that last part - our DVR can record four shows at one time and I sometimes think my takes that as a challenge.
*spits coffee* Yeah, I think I like your idea of sports, too!
Aw, man! You're no fun. :(
