Despite the oddness of the storyline these last few seasons, Dean Winchester is still made of win.
So, if you've seen the end of season 9, you know that Dean is now the Deanmon. And I like it. He's sassy and out of control and just so damn... yum. Even when he's singing bad karaoke. But I digress.
Last night, we were watching last week's episode and freaking DEAN WINCHESTER made a reference to one of my very favorite movies: The Princess Bride. Even my husbad about fell out of his chair laughing at that point. And now I have proof that I am not the only one to love that movie. It probably didn't help that Dean had a guy hunting him because he had *cough* killed his father. Thus, the Inigo Montoya reference. Too bad Dean doesn't have six fingers on his left hand.
So, TV keeps reminding me that this movie has had a wide and varied effect on people all over the place.
First, it was Morgan in Chuck.
And now on Supernatural.
So, there, honey. Take that.
(And let's not even mention the fact that they also referenced Franklin & Bash on last week's episode because that's just beyond awesome.)

Psst... one of my very favorite LOL movies is called "Real Genius" starring a very, very young Val Kilmer. You want to talk about weird tastes? Watch that movie. Hah.

Very ahead of it's time when it came out, and three of my fave actors too.
I must look out for 'Real Genius' too! ;-)

Date: 2014-11-14 04:29 pm (UTC)Oh nice, it reminds me of a movie I saw a couple years ago called "Kawa". It's set in Hawaii, I think. Very good movie, if a bit heart-breaking. I looked this up this morning and found a used DVD on Amazon for $3. LOL I'll have to let you know what I think once it gets here.
