In the last two weeks, I've finished two novels and two short stories.

The Concrete Blonde by Michael Connelly - audio. Book #3 in the Harry Bosch series and so far, my favorite of the three I've read.

The Ex-Husband by Karen Hamilton - eARC. I grabbed this from Netgalley and enjoyed it for the most part. The main character is rather unlikable at times, even when I empathized with her

The Girls on the Shore by Ann Cleeves - ebook. This is a short story set in the Two Rivers series. It was like 40 pages if that, so real quick read. Also, the only book I've bought this year, although I technically pre-ordered it last year.

Threesome by J.M. Snyder - ebook. Pretty much PWP, but eh... If you know anything about my writing, you'll know immediately why I chose this. Hahaha. The ending was really cute though, so I'll give it that.

Right now, I'm reading two books:

Smoke Eaters by Sean Grigsby - ebook. This is the one I told you about last year that involves the fire fighter who gets recruited to fight dragons. It's been great, the author has an amazing sense of humor.

Such a Pretty Smile by Kristi DeMeester - eARC. Another I picked up from Netgalley. This is more mystery/thriller/psychological thriller kind of thing. I've only managed one chapter so far, but I think I'm going to enjoy it.

Not sure what I'll pick up next, although, a friend surprised me and sent me a book on real life ghost hunting. It's at home so I can't tell you what the title is, but I can look when I get home if anyone's interested. That might be my next one.

Have a good night everyone.

(Stupid DW is STILL not crossposting... *sigh*)

Good job.

Making me want to go reread Harry Bosch books.

Is Smoke Eaters the one that coined the nickname Jolly Ginger?

He really is.

I hope you do, I had a good laugh with it. And there are two more in the series. :)

I have never read the Harry Bosch books but they sound very interesting and maybe a bit noir-ish.

Congrats on all the books!

I really enjoy them. They're set in the early 90's, if I remember correctly, so things like Bosch having a pager makes me laugh. Harry is very smart and gritty so I think you might like them.

Thanks!

Awesome! Once it was out of the postal services hands, USPS basically shrugged and said, "It's in Canada, IDK." Glad it made it to you. Hope you enjoy it — I thought it was pretty good.
