Cat post

It's been a couple days since I've posted any cat pics and, well, since I've not been doing well this week, I thought I'd share some furry cuteness in case you were struggling - or even just a little blah - too.

I don't often get good pictures of Sunny, but I managed a few this week, so this will be Sunny-focused.

Not long after we got the new couch, Nayla and Violet both staked their claims on what they thought were 'their spots'. It took Sunny a lot longer. This is now her favorite spot to lay.



And yes, that's Violet being a weirdo, sleeping at a right angle there in the corner.

Violet destroyed my last computer chair by scratching on the back of it. So, my FIL bought us a new one and got this nifty cover that goes over it. Surprisingly, they don't scratch on it any more. However, Nayla and Violet do think it's a nifty nap spot. Yesterday, when I came downstairs around 3:30 AM, this is what I found:

Sunny also has some of the funniest relaxing positions. I mean, look at her front paws!



Nayla's still obsessed with my shower, as you can see.



Last week, she'd been playing with a catnip mouse and then went to hid inside the shower, with the curtain drawn. I think she thought no one could find her there. LOL!

Lastly, I noticed something odd when I got to work yesterday. Took me a second to figure out what the heck was caught in the tree but... isn't it a bit late for Valentine's gifts?



All I know is, I'd be ticked if I lost that many balloons. Hahaha!

Anyway, I hope you're all doing well. The last book I needed for my Witcher collection arrived last night. Yay! Buying used books is always a crapshoot, but the two I bought from Abe Books were in excellent shape, so that makes me happy.

Tonight is dinner with my in-laws for Taylor's birthday, which is on Sunday. She's going to be 22! I'm excited and a bit sad. LOL And this time next year, she'll be getting ready to graduate.

Aw, I'm sorry you're allergic. Cat allergies seem to be so much worse than dog allergies. :(

Thanks, I'm not sure what was bringing me down, but I about lost it at my desk on Friday. I'm better today, I think. But it's the crazy child's birthday so that helps.

I love those books, I need to get back to reading them soon. And we had a great dinner, thanks. :)

Thank you and happy birthday to yours, too! My baby is 20 already so yeah. I'm both excited to see what kind of people they become at the same time as I'm missing them being my babies.

My baby turned 19 in January. I have two, a girl and a boy and it is amazing to me that they are 22 and 19 now. Doesn't seem possible. I want my little snuggle bunnies back. When they were little they were like an extra appendage. Now it's like I am giving them cooties if I ask for a hug. I try not to take it personally. LOL

I know what you mean. My girls are 20 and 22 now and sometimes I miss them needing me more. My younger girl has never been a hugger though. LOL
