Stuff and more cats

So, my daughter is trying to put the finishing touches on the house since we finished the remodel in January.  One of her goals was a coat rack in the entryway.  Thanks to Prime Days, we managed to get a pretty nice one for pretty cheap.  She put it together and it looks great.  The cats think so, too.



And yes, of course, it's VIOLET.

A year or so ago, Maddie found a bed she thought Sunny would like so we bought it. Cat's used it like three times. Haha. So, Maddie talked to her friend who has a cat and decides she's going to give the bed to her friend. The very next day:



I have NEVER seen Nayla use this bed. NEVER. Even Sunny is surprised (and yes, really, these were taken right after each other):



Our Meowbox arrived yesterday, too. It's always fun opening this thing becuase the themes have been amazing. Remember the bakery themed box? Complete with kitty apron? Well, this one was Meowrine (marine) Life! And dear god... my cats now have a catnip stuffed Speedo toy.





Taylor said that the jellyfish looks like something out of Spongebob and she's not wrong. Whoever curates these boxes deserves a raise. The toys are always so dang cute! And the cats just love them.



Lastly (I know, it's about time!), I found this little guy trying to cross the road in my housing complex as I was leaving this morning. Yes, I did stop in the middle of the road, get out, and move him into the grass, why do you ask?



I'm not sure where he came from because judging by the colors on his head and neck, he's not a tortoise, he's a turtle of some kind. There's a park with a pond a couple miles from the house and, if this dude managed to get from there to my neighborhood without getting squashed, I'm impressed. I texted a picture to Taylor and all she could say was 'what the heck?' and I can't disagree. I wasn't even sure I was seeing what I thought I was seeing! Hopefully someone takes good care of him when they find him.

Anyway, that's my news for the week. How all y'all been?

I know, I felt so bad for him! Hopefully he found some shade or a place to burrow because it's going to be 114 today.

Oh, my cats like treats, they'll just only eat the Temptations treats. LOL Sunny is also notorious for eating dead leaves and then puking them back up.

I hope your sister's cat like the box if she orders one. Mine LOVE the toys.

I think someone found him and brought him indoors, so hopefully he's found his way back to where he belongs.

LOL mine won't eat anything but catnip. Roscoe eats things he kills and then pukes them up.

I hope so too. She's got 2 kitties now (adopted a friend for her original kitty) and is still planning to get a box eventually.

Mine are very picky about their treats but will eat paper and discarded hair off the floor. Go figure. Hahaha — Sunny likes to snack on plants and then puke them up.

Aw, they definitely need a friend. We got our most recent box on Saturday and it was ice cream shop themed. A mice cream sandwich, an I-scream cone, Purrshey's Syrup, a dangle toy thing that had cherries on it, and a Sweet N Meow sweetener. So cute!

Isn't that the way it always is? Hades would like to get the plants indoors, but we yell at him.

That sounds adorable! Hades has two toys he plays with the majority of the time so I don't like to buy him a bunch of toys (although I bought duplicates of his favorite toy so when he destroys it, I have more.)

Ugh, Sunny apparently was munching on the flowers Maddie bought because she puked up leaves on the floor. *sigh*

Violet will play with anything and everything (especially if it is NOT a toy), but Sunny has her favorites. She'll dig through the toybox and find a particular toy.

Eeeww. I fed the cats this morning and Callie walked out of her room and puked. So that was a fun way to start our morning.

Callie and Roscoe don't really play with toys, but Hades has a blue bird that he loves so much I bought 3 replacements for it. I also tried a red bird instead of blue but he was kinda meh about it.

Nayla is the puker in the family, at least twice a week, usually on my bed/blanket. LOL

Hades' bird sounds like Sunny's rat. Wish I had known she'd rip it to shreds like she did, I would have bought others. But she claimed it months after we got it and I've never been able to find a replacement.

All three of mine can be pukers. Hades is probably the least likely culprit. Thankfully 98% of the time it's on the floors which are not carpeted.

I found the replacements on eBay which means I paid more for them than I would have in the store, but at least I have 3 more. The bird was a dollar store buy when Callie and Roscoe were kittens.

It's funny, neither Sunny nor Violet ever puke. Although, now that the tree is up and Sunny has been snacking on it, she's been hacking up plastic pine needles. But this is the exception.

Oh nice. Even if they were a little more expensive, it's worth it in the long run.

That's good. I'd love a cat that doesn't puke. LOL if you figure out how to keep them away from the tree, let me know, we have the same problem.

It really is in the long run. So far I haven't given him a new one... I'm waiting until the one he has is shredded.

Right? I'm not sure there is any way to keep them out of the tree! Sunny was scoping out her best route to the top the other night. Hasn't actually tried to climb it yet, but she was looking.

Makes sense to hold out as long as possible.

It's what I was thinking. There aren't any parks near enough for him to have waddled over (and not gotten hit by a car). My daughter saw on one of those neighborhood app things that someone in our area posted a picture of the turtle saying they found him in their driveway. So, hopefully he gets to go back home.

The cat bed story cracked me up! We were going to clear out a couple of a scratching beds from the bedroom as well as a sofa I made for the cats because they don't use them much. Next thing we know, Lady Munchington is all over them!

That Meowbox subscription is the best thing ever. And I absolutely love how Violet is clearly the ruler of the house and must approve all new purchases! As for Nayla, she clearly knew that her *favourite bed evah* was going to be leaving the house and had to show you how wrong that is!

TURTLE! How amazing to just see a turtle wandering around your neighbourhood. I do hope he made it somewhere safe.

It is! The toys are always so cute and well-made. Oh she thinks she is anyway. LOL The bench has become Nayla's new favorite spot, too.

I thought I was seeing things. An actual turtle? In the desert? LOL Taylor saw him pop up on one of those neighborhood apps and one of our neighbors brought him indoors. No word on whether he found his way home or not but at least he was safe.
