Anxiety and Cat Nip

I don't know what on earth is going on today, but my anxiety levels are off the charts.

And I mean to the point where I cringe every time the phone rings or a co-worker comes to my desk I want to cry.  Top it all off with an overly aggressive co-worker who is on speakerphone in the other room basically attacking a project manager from another company.  Instead of just asking a question, he has to challenge the guy.  "Well, what are we going to do about that?  Where's the water coming from?"  I did get a laugh though becuase the PM had had enough and says, "How would I know, look on the effing landscaping plans!" LOOOOOL  I just do not understand all the aggression.

God, and do not even get me started on the fire department today.  Either HN or the County at the moment.  UGH.

Anyway, to try and combat all of that, I am here with cats.

I stopped to get cat food last night and found this:



It looks like a bubblegum dispesner.  Catnip goes in the red plastic bottom and it makes the pom poms smell like catnip.  Violet seemed to like the pom poms....

Am sorry you're having anxiety. Sometimes I have it and know why, other times I've got no clue even after thinking through for what might have triggered it. Either way, it's a drag on one's day, for sure. Hope tomorrow will be much better!

That is so bizarre, it randomly set itself to 'moderate' instead of 'safe'. You ought to be able to view it now though.

Thanks. Sometimes, it legit comes out of nowhere. Usually, I can recognize the trigger and head it off before it gets too bad, but today was just crazy. I'm sorry that you have to deal with it, too. Tomorrow is Friday, so it ought to be better just for that reason. :D

Ah, good idea! I used to have some, Troy loved the stuff, but I have no idea what happened to it. Agreed. Taking a minute to just breathe is like rebooting your computer. LOL

Violet is so pretty. And adorable! Love the casual "Oh, I totally meant to stop and clean myself now" after the gymnastics and losing sight of the pom-pom!

Aw, thank you. It's hilarious how cats do that. They'll be total weirdos, leaping and hopping and running, but the second you notice it, they're all casual, *lick, lick* "Oh hey, human mama. I was just here cleaning myself. It wasn't me who knocked all your Funko Pops off the bookshelf. Musta been Sunny."

I needed that cuteness. It was such a day. Not a bad day, not a good day... just a day.

I've been out the last two afternoons hanging at other schools for my internship so my kids were all "I'm so happy you're back" but let's be jerks today. *rolls eyes* teenagers.

Ugh, it really is. Although the one day I was at the high school, I saw one of the kids I had a few years ago. He was in 8th then, he's a senior now and he gave me a big hug and told me thank you.
