And looking at my list, I didn’t seem to watch any movies last month.  Oops.

What I watched:

Bosch season 3.  I only had a couple episodes left.

The X-Files season 1.  I never got to watch this while it was originally on, so I’m watching it now.

Selena + Chef seasons 3 and 4.  Whatever your thoughts on Selena Gomez, this is a really cute cooking show.  HBO donates $10,000 each episode to the charity of choice for the chef featured.  We started with the newest season and are working our way backwards – are about to finish season 2.

Dynasty season 1.  This is the OG series and I remember it being talked about as being so controversial and through the eyes of 48 year old me, it’s not, so far.  Although, season 2 might just kick it up a notch.  Despite not being as dramatique as I though it was going to be, I did still enjoy this first season.

Echoes.  This was a limited series on Netflix about twins who switch places.  And when one of them goes missing, it all starts to unravel.

The Patient.  This isn’t finished yet, but it has been crazy.  Love seeing Steve Carrell in a serious role.

What I plan on watching:

Taylor and I are going to finish Selena + Chef.  Plus, The Handmaid’s Tale has started again, so we’re watching that, too.  There are a couple episodes of The Patient left and we’ve dived into The Great British Bake Off again as well.

For October, I’d like to add some spooky/horror movies into the mix as well.  So, suggestions there are welcome.  In the meantime, I have season 2 of Dynasty, my new collection of John Cusack movies, and a show about queer horror on Shudder.  So, we’ll see where my moods take me.

If you have Hulu, they're running Stephen King's Storm of the Century. It's great.

X-Files Season 1 is the best. The episodes "Ice", "Eve" and "Fire" are my favorites in the series.

I do have Hulu! I've seen that before, but not for a long time.

Had to go back and look, but I did love Fire. The whole season was really good though.

Love me some X Files. I need to revisit, and catch up on that one season we didn't watch due to taking Spanish lessons in night classes!

Funny you should say that about Dynasty — it was so controversial back then, esp. the gay stuff with Steven, but of course he and Luke (nor any others) were never allowed to kiss on TV, unlike now where you see WAY hotter m/m pashes all the time! But that tie tying scene is still one of the hottest scenes, nonetheless. ;-)

Echoes sounds interesting.

Hmm, horror movies? I have just watched one based on a Stephen King short story called Mr Harrigan's Phone — although it's more supernaturally creepy rather than full on-horror. Very thought-provoking! My favourite horrors are sci-fi/horror like Alien and Outland, and then comedy/horror like Fright Night (the original is best, though the remake has some charm) and An American Werewolf in London. Hope you find some good ones!

I really enjoyed the first season, need to get back to it soon.

Totally get that! It's just interesting watching it not just from 2022, but as someone much older now. Honestly, for me, subtle is always hotter than something that's in your face. But I also know that not everyone agrees on that. :D

Echoes was indeed interesting.

I haven't seen Mr. Harrigan's Phone, but I think I saved that on Netflix. Love SK, so I'll have to watch it soon. Hahaha — Fright Night is one of my favorites and An American Werewolf in London is the first horror movie I remember watching. I know I saved it somewhere to watch again, too. Thanks for the suggestions and reminders!
