Since I’ve finished all of the Bosch books until the next one comes out in November, I’ve been trying to figure out what to listen to next.  Figured it’d be a good opportunity to catch up and/or clean up some of my series that have been languishing.  I found a handful of series that have fewer than five books left in them and thought those might be the best to start with.

Currently Listening: Sea Castle – Andrew Mayne

Series listed: 10
Series complete:

Java Jive Mysteries – Caroline Fardig
4. Brew or Die
5. Murder Over Mochas

The Witcher – Andrzej Sapkowski
3. Baptism of Fire
4. The Tower of the Swallow
5. Lady of the Lake

Hussite Trilogy – Andrzej Sapkowski
2. Warriors of God
3. Light Perpetual

Paris, Texas – Dakota Cassidy
2. What Not to Were
3. Witch is the New Black
4. White Witchmas

Nun of Your Business Mysteries – Dakota Cassidy
1.  Then There Were Nun
2. Hit and Nun
3. House of the Rising Nun
4. The Smoking Nun
5. What a Nunderful World

Marshmallow Hollow Mysteries – Dakota Cassidy
2. Have Yourself a Merry Little Witness
3. One Corpse Open Slay
4. Carnage in a Pear Tree

King & Maxwell – David Baldacci
2. Hour Game
3. Simple Genius
4. First Family
5. The Sixth Man

Stillhouse Lake – Rachel Caine
2. Killman Creek
3. Wolfhunter River
3.5 Identity
4. Bitter Falls
5. Hearbreak Bay
6. Trapper Road

(Okay, this one is more than five if you count the short story squeezed in there.)

Underwater Investigation Unit – Andrew Mayne
4. Sea Castle
5. Dark Dive

Rachel Marin Thrillers
2. A Stranger at the Door

That’s enough for now.  I’ll update as I go and maybe by the end of September, I’ll add more series.

I've had a difficult time finding things, as I think that the world of Bosch spoiled me. That there was so much all in the same world.

I am currently listening the Magnus Chase series, I'm on book 3, and each book has a different narrator, I really liked Kiernan Culkin. But...

I'm also listening to BTS' book on the way home from work and I have to frequently stop and listen to the song they are talking about or if I'm more than halfway, pause and watch the MV when I get into my driveway.

Get the shortest list out of your way first, and then there's a whole other series done!

I think you're right. There's so much going on in the Bosch Universe and everything connects eventually.

Had to look those up, they sound interesting. I'm guessing each book is from a different character's POV, is that why there are different narrators?

Oh that would be an interesting listen. Hahaha — I'd have to do the same thing, honestly. You think you know these songs, the videos, and then someone mentions something and you're like, 'wait, what?'.

Went with the Andrew Mayne series because I'd forgotten about it and I love it. The idea of an underwater investigation unit working for the Ft. Lauderdale Police Department fascinates me. And I only have two books currently, so they ought to go fast.

Nope, they are all written from Magnus' POV. The author has done a few series and I LOVED the audiobooks done about the Egyptian mythology as it bounced back and forth between twins, but all the books had the same narrators.

OOOOOHHHHHHH That does sound interesting!

Ah, I see. Interesting choice to switch narrators then. I've not read anything of his yet, but my friend loves his stuff.

They are! The first two I read in ebook format, so I'm not quite sold on this narrator yet, but she's not horrible.

That's an awesome idea! I love a good checklist.

I've only read the Witcher's short stories, which weren't bad. I probably should try the novels and see if I like them.

Happy Reading!

Thanks, me too! Helps me feel more productive.

The short stories are great for helping you get to know the characters before diving in. I've only read the first of the actual novels and enjoyed it a lot.

Thanks!
