So, Taylor informed me that the boys now have names.
Gideon is the one with the socks and the other is Fawkes. Both are, of course, Harry Potter names. LOL But Fawkes was Dumbledore's phoenix, so that's kinda rad. Hah.
They are so cute! How funny — we have a rabbit named Gideon (after Alec — his middle name — in Shadowhunters/Mortal instruments), and Fawkes makes me think of the political activist Guy Fawkes, who tried to blow up the British parliament in the early 1600's, and whom we weirdly still have a celebration every year for his capture and punishment on Nov 4th, in a country he had nothing to do with... we celebrate by doing 4th of July (which we obviously don't celebrate) style fireworks (time for it to be retired, I think).
Anyway, glad they have names now, and hope they don't get into too much trouble! ;-)
Thank you! Oh, I'd forgotten about your bun! Hey, I know about Guy Fawkes Day! LOL I agree with you — as much as I enjoy fireworks, they're soooo expensive and can't possibly be good for the environment.
Oh, well, they're kittens, so you know they're wreaking havoc every second they're awake.
Not to mention how many injuries are caused by them every year, and how frightening they are for animals (and how many idiots think it's OK to hurt animals with them)!!!
YES! A friend of mine (who was an idiot, I'll admit that) had a bottle rocket blow up in his hand when we were kids. And here, there's always at least one fire.

Date: 2023-08-03 05:14 pm (UTC)Thanks! I love Gideon as well. Fawkes was the name of Dumbledore's phoenix in Harry Potter, so that's why my Potterhead child chose it. LOL

Thank you! And I love your little Fawkes! (And the stack of J. D. Robb books behind you is cracking me up for some reason.)
