I'm do dang frustrated with the men I work with today.  I feel like I need to scream it's been so bad.

I won't bore you with it all though.  Just know that I'm at bitch-eating-crackers level of annoyance right now.  And it's not even noon!  Hahaha.  So thankful that they decided to take Friday off, too, so I get four days away from ALL THE MEN.  🤣🤣

Anyway, I'm trying to not let shit get to me so much and most of the time, I do okay with that.  But today was an exception, I guess.

And on a sad note, I came home from work yesterday and Taylor says (in reference to recent trades made by the Knights), "Mom!  We've lost the whole team!"

I say, "I know, but this often happens, especially after a big win."

She looks at me and says, "BUT WHY MARCHY?"

I had to remind her that she's lucky her boy, Shea Theodore, is still a Knight.  She was not amused.

This kid and her hockey.  You'd never guess she was born and raised in the desert.

Vegas is a rare hockey team in that they don't hold onto players very long and that might be one of the reasons for their success. (There have been years where I've begged for them to blow up the Blues.) It's hard though when it's a player who has been there from the start and you've gotten attached.

I'm a little mad about it too since the Blues didn't get him and he went to one of our close division rivals. For some inexplicable reason, our GM never tries to sign players that have success against our team. They're good in our arena, get them!

Men. *sigh* Glad you're able to have four days away from them. Have a lovely Fourth!

PS- I don't know when Vegas' prospect camp is but if it's still going on, Taylor should check it out.

Yeah, I've noticed that. I thought the town was going to explode when they traded Fleury. But if it makes sense and is for the better of the team, I can deal with it. Taylor takes it a little harder because this is the first sport, after tennis, that she's really gotten into. So, she's not used to having her heart ripped out. Hahaha.

He would have been a good score for you guys, too. Sorry he went to one of your rivals. Honestly, I will never understand how the front offices work with these teams.

Thanks, me too. So far, they've not been aggravating today. And you, too!

(I did a quick google and it ends Saturday — unfortunately, she works tonight and tomorrow night, then leaves for Sacramento Friday morning.)

*hugs* Work colleagues (and not always men either, I say from a profession with a majority of women) can be the worst sometimes.

Have a wonderful Independence Day, and enjoy the freedom from the stupidity! ;-)

Sports... uh... sorry.

Agreed, 100%! I only deal with men though. The only other woman in the company is a plumber and she's a delight.

Thank you, I had a wonderful quiet four days!

Hahaha — it's okay. I'm not a huge sports person myself, but I love my hockey and baseball. Taylor's slowly gotten into other sports as well since one of her friends is a sports nut.

That must be sooo nice, having at least one person who's a delight! ;-)

Yay! There's nothing like a bit of peace and quiet.

I did sports at school, but when I say I gave up (field) hockey when I was 15 because it interfered with sleeping in on Saturdays, you probably guess how interested I am in sports! ;-)

It is! I actually have a handful of co-workers that I just adore. Unfortunately, they're not in the office with me. LOL

Agreed. It's been very nice. Taylor comes home tomorrow night, so it won't be quite as quiet. Hahaha.

Honestly, I don't blame you. Sleep is important. :D

I hope you are having a great break this weekend and can forget about work for awhile.

This happens in baseball as well. I remember after the Giants won a few championships they ended up trading a lot of players.

Hopefully the new team will gel well together and you guys have a great new season.

I am, thank you!

Agreed. I'm a lifelong Cubs fan and, with the exception of 1984, it took them most of my life to be a winning team. LOL So, everyone was always being traded in an attempt to get 'good'.

Thanks, I know they will. The management seems to be good at getting players that will perform well and we've been consistently good since our inception, so here's hoping. :D
