asphaltcowgrrl... zero percent chance of rain at the moment.
My desk faces floor to ceiling windows and despite Trump Tower out there, lurking in the background, it's a decent enough view for being in the middle of an industrial area, just off the Las Vegas Strip. This morning, there are a ton of big, meanacing looking clouds, which makes me happy. But, when I looked at the weather, there's zero chance of rain until 9 AM (It's 8:30 right now) and then, it's only 1%.
If you go to the full-size pic and zoom in, you'll see how close I am to the Nevada ASPCA. 🤣 I was getting out of my car this morning and when I turned around, one of the volunteers was walking this adorable black and white pup. She gave his lead a gentle tug, said, "Come on," but he just sat there, looking at me. So, I said, "Good morning. Having a nice walk?" He looked at the volunteer and got up and continued on their walk. I guess he just needed a hello. Hah!
I really do hate that this area is called Paradise because it is anything but. Although, there is also a Winchester township which cracks me up whenever it comes up on my phone. Not sure if I should stay away or go in, salt in hand.
Lastly, to make up for my rant the other day, I want to show you how ridiculous I can be. We've needed some new bowls for some time now, but I keep putting off buying them. Partly because dishes are expensive, but also because I couldn't find anything I liked. While at HomeGoods over the weekend, I found these, which I thought were nice:
Sorry for how off center this photo is, I was trying to get a picture that did not include an orange foot, tail, or face in the bowl. But while I was there, I found something else that I just absolutely had to have. It's probably a good thing they only had two in stock or I might have been in trouble.
I told you, I am ridiculous. But when I showed Maddie, she could not stop laughing. So, it was worth the money I paid for them both.
Oh, and I really do hope it rains.
UPDATE at 9:03 AM: They've bumped it to 21% now. 😂

Hahaha... it's not far off the Strip, so take that as you will. I can hear Dean though — Demons, I get. People are crazy.
