Wednesday Things: January 28th

asphaltcowgrrlFirst, I heard my friend in Toronto got 23" of snow and - YIKES.
Second, I should have known that having all my time cards several weeks in a row was going to come back to haunt me. This morning, three of my foremen forgot to leave their time cards. That meant I was missing 13 in total. Approximately 20% of my time cards were not where they should have been. *facepalm* Two of the guys got them to me right away. It's now 10:30 and I'm still waiting on one foreman. GRRR.
UPDATE: He just sent them to me so I can finish payroll. His ears must have been burning. Hahaha.
Next, why are iPhones so extra? Why must they give photos their own file format? Is a .jpg not good enough? It has to be a .heic? Annoying. :/ This only comes up because Maddie texted me a picture this morning that I wanted to share but, because she has an iPhone and I have a Samsung, I had to change the fire format because Flickr says, ".heic? I don't know her!" and won't upload.
Speaking of photos... I washed the quilt that is usually on my bed. I wanted to put the duvet back on but it's such a PITA to get the insert into the cover that I put it off. Anyway, I finally managed to get it swapped out and threw the quilt into the washer. When it came out, it wasn't quite dry, so I hung it over the stairwell to completely dry before I folded it and put it back in the closet. Maddie texts me this picture of Fawkes this morning:
The basket he's in has some of Maddie's clean clothes she hasn't put away yet in it. The basket beside him is full of cat toys. I swear, cats really do believe we serve them.
In other ridiculousness, I was doing my Spanish lessons last night and this was one of my lessons:
(I only just noticed the incorrect grammar in the translation, too, yikes.)
As soon as I read this, I thought of Zayne. And honestly, that photo even kind of looks like my mental image of Zayne. But the eating ten times a day is definitely him. 😂
Okay, so I've been working on this post since 10:30 and it's now almost noon, so I had probably stop goofing off. I did get payroll finished though. Even if Voya refused to allow me to access their pay cloud so I could enter the 401(k) contributions. I had to sign out and back in four times before it decided that I was indeed authorized to view that page. They are based out of New York so I'll give them a bit of grace and assume that their servers are frozen like the rest of the right half of the country is.
