Somebody loves me
Feb. 19th, 2026 09:59 amWhile I'm hesitant to complain about how cold I am, seeing as the east coast and midwest have been pummelled with snow, I am still fricken COLD guys.
It doesn't help that it's been crazy windy and rainy for the last few days either. And I know, my paltry 42 degrees is a heat wave for some of you. That said, I got to work this morning and saw my slider was closed to my area. Which is odd, because I leave it open when I leave at night. I push it open, step inside and SOMEONE HAS TURNED MY SPACE HEATER ON. So, my little area was already nice and warm when I got here. Note: I'm right at the front doors so the cold breeze blows in at me all day.
I'm not sure who it was, but I am very grafeful.
In other news, Joel was in the other room talking to James with Jakub. He has James on speaker, so of course, Ralph has to get involved in a conversation that he's not part of. Rhett comes in, hears them all, starts telling James what a good job he's doing. Then, he says, "Now you got everyone." Which causes Joel to holler at me, "What about you, Amy? You want to tell James anything?" Yeah... but probably not anything THIS James would understand. 😂 So, I just yelled back, "HELLO JAMES" and left it at that.
Yes, I am a dork.
Lastly, because I do need to get back to work sometime this morning, I stumbled across something called Pagebound yesterday. It's like Goodreads and The Story Graph, but with a more social aspect to it. I kind of like it so far. If you want to check it out, the main page is here and you can find my profile here. I'm mostly moving away from Goodreads, with the exception of the mountainous TBR list I have over there. Trying to keep up with tracking on The Story Graph as well. But... I forget because I'm too busy looking for my next book. Hahaha.

Date: 2026-02-20 04:44 am (UTC)That was nice of someone to turn the heat on for you. And yes, 43 degrees is on the chilly side, and downright freezing when you're not used to it.
(I probably would have just yelled "Hi" to James too given the circumstance.)

(Hah — I'm sure he felt loved being addressed by every dang person in the office.)
