Finch Music Challenge Day 3
May. 4th, 2026 07:37 amMeant to do this yesterday and since I crashed hard for about three hours, I never got it done.
Today's challenge: send a song to someone you're thinking about.
I sent two songs to my friend, Jeannette. The first is "The Big Revival" by Kenny Chesney. This song has become a bit of a joke between the two of us. It's a good song, but there's a line in the chorus that says, "Praise the Lord and pass me a copperhead" and that line has turned into a battle cry for us. Whenever one of us is stressed, frustrated, or just don't know what to do next, we say this out loud. Yes, we are epic dorks.
The second was "Shut Up, Kenny" by Walker Hayes (of "Fancy Like" fame). This has also become a joke due to the fact that Kenny has so many songs that make me look at the radio and say, "Shut up, Kenny!" Especially since Troy's passed, "Anything But Mine" rips me up.
Happy Monday, y'all!
