Whining again

But this time it's not a bad whine. Just a neutral whine. Like a pinot grigio.

*looks at the above line and sighs* Sometimes I amaze myself with how much of a dope I can be.

So... math is not my thing. Writing invoices on multi-million dollar contracts makes my head hurt. I long for the days when a $100k job was a big job. Now? My boss turns that shit down for being *too small*.

Anyway, I needed to work in a medium I understand and can readily grasp and therefore I needed to get some words out.

How's things on this fine Tuesday? And now I need to go back and finish this invoice before noon. Oh, and no, this is not for the guy who likes to wait three weeks and then asks for me to rebill for more money.

Ugh, why did we get jobs where we had to do math? Hopefully you spend less time at the cash register than doing other things.

I do love a good spreadsheet, but yeah, I long for the day when I didn't NEED to have 7 open at once.

Today is evil. EVIL. I can say it hear b/c I can't say it elsewhere, but my dad is off the rails and having someone call me at work to tell me how to get him back on the rails when he is adamant that he is driving his train down the highway instead. WHILE I have an hour old lunch cooling on my desk AND a pile of crap that needs handled by 4 AND the shop foreman asking me questions every 12 seconds.

Hee! Spreadsheets can be fun. But only because you can make them do the math for you. Hahaha.

OMG, I'm so sorry. This all reminds me of when my MIL tells me I need to make Troy do something he's not. I'm like... but he's 44 and technically older than I am. WHY DO I HAVE TO MAKE SURE HE TAKES CARE OF HIMSELF? Not the same situation, I know, but in a way I get it. *Hugs*

Your shop foreman reminds me of my co-worker who has to tell me stuff that doesn't pertain to me approximately ever 90 seconds. I'm happy said co-worker is out in the field playing plumber these days.

But you know what? Hostess makes Ice cream now, and I have a container of Snowball Ice Cream in my freezer and I'mma watch something stupid and snuggle with my dog.

Oh shit, how cold is it there? Winter before last, our heat went out, then came back, and we thought nothing of it. The house was 16 years old at the time. Then, last summer, the AC quit. QUIT. In July. *sigh* So... we have a whole new AC and furnace. But I hope you can get it fixed without having to make Eggs get a part time job to pay for it. Stay warm!

The ice cream is lovely, vanilla with a hint of marshmallow flavoring, and random coconut with chunks of chocolate cake here and there.

It is above freezing, but at two am it's only just. Last night it got down to 57 in my bedroom, probably 52 or so on my first floor. Cold enough to feel cold, but not cold enough to really worry about things. The plumber has said he will stop by tonight. So hopefully some time tomorrow it'll be at least temp fixed. Weather says high 30's for a low for the next week. *sigh*

I did come home from my trip w/o spending all of my funds (I'm always afraid I'm going to run out), and this is the thanks I get for that.

I don't like snowballs - that marshmallow stuff is too rubbery - but that ice cream sounds amazing.

Ugh, that's not fun. That's about how our temps were when our heat went out, and it was way too cold for me. I'm glad that you have the extra funds even if this is not what you wanted to spend it on. Good luck with your plumber!

YES! I need to go in and approve mine, but she always sends the notifications at 10 after 12, so she has to wait until I finish eating. :)

Snuggle that puppy! And I hope you have heat back - it looks cold according to my phone (which now has Haverhill as well as Vegas and St George on the weather app I have, so I can find what time & temp it is there at a glance!).
