I have this person in my life - and I'm wary of calling her friend - who is constantly asking for 'good juju' and/or advice.  Trouble is, no matter what suggestion you give her - AFTER she has ASKED - it won't work.  She's tried it, she's read about it, whatever.  But becuase she is SHE it won't work.  And heaven help you if you tell her you don't have any suggestions but are sending prayers and hugs.  Lord the way that woman goes off on anyone unable to help but is willing to emotionally support her. 

*beats head into desk*

I knew better than to even make a suggestion, and yet, here we are.  *scribbles note to self about being helpful*

In more amusing news, I'm currently trying to track down the price on a 1 1/2" x 24" brass nipple.  Now I have no idea WTF Juan even used that for but damn if 24" of brass doesn't sound like a weapon.

Help-rejecting complainer is the term, I believe? I have one. She's my sister. I now mostly make 'hmmm' sounds when she launches into anything. :)

Some people won't be helped, no matter how much they claim that's what they want. I had a similar friend who drained the life out of me with her tales of woe, that more often than not she caused herself. Moving 192 miles helpfully dealt with that — no chance you can move across the country is there?!

Ugh, I'm sorry you had to deal with that, but I'm glad you put some space between you. Hahaha — luckily for me, she's in Tennessee, so already half a country away. :) Not having to deal with her in real life is a bonus.

10000000%. I waver between 'she really wants help but doesn't know how to accept it' and 'nah, she's a drama queen' depending on my mood. LOL

Hahaha! It's basically a piece of brass pipe that's 1 1/2" wide and 24" long, with threads on both ends so it can be screwed into a fitting. I'd just never run into one that long before. The guys are usually using ones that are no longer than 6". Whiiiiiich sounds suggestive in and of itself. LOL
