Author’s Note:   Written for the Thursday Tropes challenge at 1_million_words.  The trope was: captive date.  Not very true to the prompt but, in a way, Reyes is captive – he did invite himself over after all.  Another short set before Andrej meets James (and all the glory that follows it).  I love to cook and explore ethnic dishes, so this was a bit of an adventure for me.  Not sure I’ll be making any of this, although that Mămăligă is right up my alley.  Polenta on steroids, guys.  Pofta Bună!

Author's Note: This is an excerpt from a current WIP, so it won't make any actual sense taken out of context.  Just know that Zayne and Andrej are partners as are Hilary and Trish.  The four are working on a case in an unusual sort of setting.

Author’s Note: Inspired by the Thursday Trope prompt of: I got you a drawer.  Still exploring these two characters, trying to get to know them better.  I think this would be fun (and angsty!  And UST-y!) to rewrite from Andrej’s POV.
