Fun at work

I have a co-worker who likes to start text convos by sending me a gif of something or someone saying "hi", "good morning", etc.  It's kinda funny.
This is not the post you are looking for )

By 'it' I mean buying the books.  They'll be here in the morning, hopefully before I leave for work.

Also, by 'it' I mean emailing Travis Baldree asking if he does signed bookplates.  Oh, and by encouraging him to come to Vegas if he ever does a book tour.

As if I didn't have enough anxiety over the election today, I do this.  Hah.

Happy Tuesday, y'all.

I need help

Can someone please, please tell me that I absolutely, positively do not need both special edition hardbacks of Travis Baldree's books Legends and Lattes and Bookshops and Bonedust?

Anyone?

Please?

Becuase they're both on sale at Amazon right now and my bookshelf is begging.

The real issue here is that I have already read them both and, since I'm not one to generally re-read things, these would be pure eye candy for my shelf.

For speculative purposes, Legends and Lattes and Bookshops and Bonedust

And now I'm going to wait for someone to talk me off this ledge.  Hah.

Happy Monday!

(I really wish ridiculous was a mood option becuase I'm feeling really ridiculous right now.)

I want to get back to posting about my everyday life, as boring as it might be, but keep forgetting. Or putting it off.  Something.

I've been doing really well at keeping my Netgalley requests under control.  I'm 100% caught up, with the next book not publishing until October.  (Which means I have two books I need to read next month, but that's more than doable.)In my hockey romance era )

I belong to a multitude of book groups on Facebook.  One of them this morning asked for a very specific rec.

They wanted enemies to lovers but WAIT.. they only become lovers because they're both into the same guy and become a throuple.

My first thought: damn, that sounds familiar.  🤣🤣🤣

Title: Desert Breeze
Fandom: None
Pairing: gen
Rating: G
Word Count: 336
Author’s Note: Written for the drabble/icon challenge day 1.  I took the prompt of “I’d Really Love to See You Tonight” as it’s one of my favorite songs.  Even if I’m more used to the Dan Seals (England Dan) version, rather than the England Dan & John Ford Coley version.  And no, I honestly cannot write a drabble, so have three and a third.

I learned that, if you mix Good & Gather* Watermelon & Lime sparkling water with some Torani Watermelon syrup and add a bit of Svedka Blue Raspberry vodka...

...you get a really tasty and refreshing summer drink.  🤣🤣

And yes, Zayne, this is why we keep the liquor cabinet locked.

(That and to keep the cats from sitting in the Instantpot.)

*Good & Gather is Target's store brand.
