So I made an accidental discovery
Jul. 15th, 2024 08:42 amI learned that, if you mix Good & Gather* Watermelon & Lime sparkling water with some Torani Watermelon syrup and add a bit of Svedka Blue Raspberry vodka...
...you get a really tasty and refreshing summer drink. 🤣🤣
And yes, Zayne, this is why we keep the liquor cabinet locked.

Anti-Hero (Cowboy's Version)
Apr. 26th, 2024 03:28 pmThe first song presented in the songfic challenge at 1_million_words was Taylor Swift's "Anti-Hero". From the first time I heard it, it made me think of Zayne. So, when it was presented, he is immediatly who I went to for inspriation.
I wrote something early in the fic that made me think of another song - "Love You Too Late" by Cole Swindell - and then it rather spiraled out of control and now I have a(nother) new playlist.
While I managed to keep the playlist down to nine songs, the fic topped out at over 4k words. IN TWO DAYS I WROTE 4K WORDS.
Anyway... if you're so inclined and use Spotify, feel free to save the playlist. If you know of another platform where I can make a free playlist, let me know.
OH! And hopefully I'll get the fic posted tomorrow. It's done, I just need to give it one more read through and I don't have it in me today.
(Let's hope this embeds correctly... the preview shows it okay but... *sigh*)

Apr. 26th, 2024 09:02 amI've felt like hot garbage all week. Partly because we've hit the 90's and everything is in bloom, thus pollen. But it's also been windy the last few days, aggravating my sinuses. That the cats are shedding their winter coats probably doesn't help either.( Blah :/ )

Feb. 5th, 2024 02:18 pmFirst and foremost, THE BOYS TURNED 8 MONTHS OLD SATURDAY. I cannot believe how big they’ve gotten. When we first brought them home, I could hold them both in one hand. Now, I need both hands to lift one of them. But they are still furry bundles of chaos and sunshine.

Dec. 6th, 2023 01:27 pmMy one kid who is enrolled at UNLV is not on campus today, nor are any of her friends.
I'm not even sure if anyone has heard or not, but there's currently an active shooter on campus. One suspect is dead and there are multiple 'victims', although Metro isn't giving any more information on that. A good friend panic called me about ten minutes ago, as soon as she heard. So, on the off chance one of you heard and made the connection, I'd hate for you to worry, too.

Sep. 15th, 2023 10:51 amMan, another week has come and gone. Not a whole lot going on around here. Taylor did finally land a job at the hospital she wanted to work at, so that’s a huge bonus. She starts October 9th. Maddie’s trudging along with school and work, hanging out with her friends, too. Me? I’m just working and hanging out at home, the same as always. And the cats, well, they’re catting all over the place.
